Tunelog was inspired by our love of music and stats, and by del.icio.us - where it is all about openness and ownership of your data. We focus on the API first and the tunelog website second. We're hoping that you find tunelog to be an easy, fun, and convenient way to store all the metadata about your music and music playing. We aren't looking to be a music recommendation engine or community with a million features - there are other sites like Pandora, last.fm and musicmobs that cover these kinds of areas (and we'd love for tunelog data to be passed around and used by these communities, and whatever other new communities you think up).
Tunelog is made by FrozenBear, which is two guys: Greg and Jeff. We are usually writing mashups, but this time around we'd love to see you write mashups of the data we're exposing.
